How Heart Lynx uses information when you visit our website, contact us, or book a visit.

Who we are

Heart Lynx is responsible for the personal information it uses for its studio services and website. Contact us at heartlynxpj@gmail.com, (781) 913-0492, or The Hive, 227 Washington Street, Salem, MA 01970, United States.

What we use, and why

  • Messages and bookings: when you contact us or book through Square, we may receive your name, contact details, appointment or event details, and information you choose to share. We use this to answer you, arrange your visit, and manage the service you request.
  • Website operation: hosting and security services may process IP addresses, request times, browser details, and requested pages to deliver the site, troubleshoot failures, and prevent misuse.

For EU/UK visitors, our bases for using information are taking steps you request before a contract and performing that contract; legitimate interests in answering general enquiries, keeping records, and securing the site; legal obligations where applicable; and consent for optional marketing. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Decorative phone motion

On supported phones, this seasonal website can use browser-provided device orientation to move decorative artwork as you tilt your phone. These readings are used only in your browser, are not stored or sent to Heart Lynx or another service, and are not used to identify you. The artwork also works without sensor access. We do not open a motion-permission prompt.

Cookies and tracking

This version of our website does not load analytics tools, advertising pixels, or embedded social-media feeds. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Because we do not track you for advertising, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change that behaviour.

This website does not currently offer a newsletter signup. We will update this notice and provide the appropriate choices before introducing optional tracking or email marketing.

Services and links

Our deployment uses Netlify for website hosting. We use Gmail for studio email, and our booking link takes you to Square. These services may process information to provide their services. Square handles information you enter on its own booking or payment pages under its notices; this studio website does not collect payment-card details. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect customers and our business.

Social-media and map links open another service only when you follow them. Read the privacy notice of any service you visit. Our business is in the United States, so information you send us may be processed here. Where EU/UK transfer rules apply to our use of service providers, appropriate contractual safeguards are required; contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiries and booking records for as long as needed to handle the request, provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Retention depends on the record and legal requirement. Contact us to request deletion or ask about a specific record.

Your choices and rights

Email us to ask to access, correct, or delete your information. Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict processing, receive a portable copy, object, or withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some records must be retained by law. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity; please do not email payment details or identity documents unless we arrange a secure method.

You can complain to your local data-protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your EU supervisory authority. You can also contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.

Children and updates

Our online booking and marketing services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information can contact us to request removal. Studio services for minors should be arranged with a parent or guardian.

We will update this page when our practices change and show the revision date above.
